“Alum Chine” Promenade - Westbourne

Enjoy the very best in beach hut living with sweeping and elevated views across Alum Chine with the Purbecks in the west to the Isle of Wight in the east, perfect for entertaining friends and family or simply for relaxing and watching the sun go down.

Just above the promenade offering a quiet location, relaxing moments watching the world go by and conveniently located close to restaurants, car parking, toilets and other amenities, including public transport links to Bournemouth and Poole.  It is near a play park for the children including a brand new water play area.

The beach huts were newly built in 2010. 

Measuring approximately 11ft by 8ft with a decking area at the front, which is a perfect base for families using the Alum Chine beach.

Just a few meters away is a tap for fresh water. Each beach hut is fully equipped  with a gas primus stove, table, chairs and storage unit with worktop and includes internal glass doors for those breezy days.

With the seafront land train stop located close by, a scenic alternative is offered to the hassle of driving and parking in the town centre.

Blue Flag Award.

Alum Chine beach boasts a Blue Flag award, as well as gently sloping golden sandy beach, providing safe bathing, with no sudden currents.  The beach is fully lifeguarded by the RNLI (May - September).

Dogs are permitted on the beach all year around at Alum Chine; however between 1st May and 30th September they are not permitted to exercise between groynes three and five.
